Gone to the Lake

We went to see Nana and Papa at the Lake this weekend. Raegan has figured out that she can really get their attention if she acts like a nut. She really seems to play to Nana's camera!

We all went out on the boat. It was a lot of fun. We love riding around in the boat looking at the beautiful houses on the Lake. Raegan was a little skeptical at first.
Once we got going and she felt the gentle breeze, she decided this might be pretty fun!
She liked looking at how the wake came out behind the boat...
Papa decided to show Raegan how to fly a kite off the back of the boat... and Raegan had a few pointers for him too! Luci also tried to get in on the action!
...by the time we were on out "at sea", she decided she had mastered the boat and that we could call her "Captain". (you have to click on the picture to see it bigger to really appreciate the expression on her face)

...and then she turned over watch duty to Bristo and she let the sway of the boat and the arms of Nana relax her to sleep.

Once we got back to shore, she sat looming across the water at the seas she had sailed that day. (OK... that was a little dramatized...)
These last 2 pictures are two that Nana had on her camera. The first is one of the few pictures we have of Thomas, Ava and Raegan all together. (they are my brother's kids and of course our daughter). We just can't seem to get a picture where they are all cooperating. This is as close as we have ever gotten. The last picture is just one that I like of Raegan.

Raegan at school

Raegan really enjoys her time at JCCC, the childcare at my work. She goes there 3 days a week. They really do a great job of teaching her things as well as care for her.

Lately she has become much more social with her classmates. It's really neat to watch as your child becomes more aware and interested in other children. So far, she seems to really get along well with her classmates. Here are some pictures of her interacting with them (mostly pics from my camera phone).

The only concern that we have is that she seems to fall asleep at odd times. Either the food is so incredible that this is what happens... or we need to get Raegan to take longer naps!

(remember these two shots from earlier posts?)

This is Raegan's class picture. All but one child is in the picture. Her teachers are Ms. Gloria, Ms. Beverly and Ms. Phyllis. (Ms. Phyllis didn't make the picture)

Isn't it amazing how none of the kids are crying and they're all looking at the camera!

Raegan gets to play alot

I had the opportunity to take Raegan to Kangazoom. It is a cool play facility for kids. They have an area designated for kids that are still in the crawling stage. Raegan really seemed to enjoy it. I only had my camera phone so these pictures are a little poor in quality... but you can see how she enjoyed it.

I also bought Raegan this really neat play set that is a kitchen area on one side and a living room on the other side. It makes sounds and has all kinds of levers, doors, lights, etc. I had fun exploring it and so did Raegan!

Easter weekend!

Raegan experienced her first Easter! I'm not sure she understood the significance that Jesus plays in Easter but she caught onto the egg part of it.

In school, her teachers helped her make an Easter basket out of a diaper. I thought it was pretty creative. Here is Raegan sharing it with us.

She was pretty serious about the eggs

On Sunday morning we got ready and went to Buckhead Church. Raegan never likes going to the nursery there... but I hear that one day she'll love it. Don't my two girls look good! Raegan actually kept the headband on!

After church, Hannah's family came-up and we had lunch at our house. It was really nice outside so we all got to eat on the deck. Raegan got to try her first cupcake (that her Aunt Jennifer made). She was careful not to get it on her face.

I wish I had really good shots of everyone that was there on Sunday. Most of Hannah's family was able to make it. A lot of the pictures didn't turn out so well. Here is a shot of Raegan with her GrandDad. The picture is a little fuzzy... but you can see how happy she is!

Here she is with Aunt Jennifer. Raegan really likes Aunt Jennifer... although she feels like she might seem a little fair-skinned next to her.

Neighborhood Spring Fling

Today was our neighborhood "Spring Fling". Oure neighbors all gathered and the kids got to do an Easter Egg hunt among other activities. It was a beautiful day. We thought Raegan looked cute for the occasion.

Raegan can't walk yet without holding on to our hands. So Hannah walked her around to check everything out.

We didn't have Raegan carry an Easter basket because that is kind of difficult when you crawl. But she found someone else's basket and proved to us that she could handle even a large basket.

The shot below is Hannah and Raegan in the crowd of othe parents and children. The younger kids went around looking for eggs out in the grass in this area. You can see that there are a lot of younger kids that Raegan could play with one day.

Raegan found a couple eggs.

She even got to take home an Easter ball. She has enjoyed moving that thing around the house!

Bath Time

Raegan really likes bath time. When we start running the water into her little tub, she crawls really fast to the bathtub and pulls herself up. She tries to reach out to touch the water and reach the shampoo and toys. She gets so excited that she doesn't want us to take the time to get her undressed for the bath.

11 Months

Here are 3 shots that Hannah took for Raegan's 11 month pic. Raegan doesn't like this monthly routine so much. But you can still tell how much bigger she is getting compared to her Ray Bunny.

Will soon be biking with Daddy!

I'm really excited that it won't be long before Raegan can ride in the chariot behind my bike. Below I was trying her helmet on for size. She was also trying on some knee pads. The helmet is still looking a little big.

...what to wear for Easter...

Hannah has been trying to figure out what Raegan should wear for Easter. She tried Raegan in a dress that my parents gave her. I think she's cute in it. And she seemed to like the outfit.

She even tried to accessorize it herself. Even I know that bracelet doesn't really work with the outfit.

Fun at the Park

There is a park close to our house that we have taken Raegan to a couple of times. Even though we have our own swing for Raegan, she seemed to like how much higher she could go in the one at the park.

The last time we went, Drew was there too. They liked peeking out at us from inside the little tunnel.

Do you think Raegan and Drew enjoyed swinging together?...

...I don't think Raegan did... (I guess not all things that parents think will be cute are so cute to our kids)
