Raegan the swimmer...

Hello. I don't have much to blog from this past week. I finally sold my car! Other than that... pretty uneventful. This weekend we just stayed around our home. We got some work done around the house and we spent some time at the nieghborhood pool.

Last year Raegan was pretty scared of the water. This year has been pretty much the same. But this weekend, she finally let me take her out into the water (away from the steps where she usually likes to stay). And then today, she even jumped from the side of the pool into my arms in the water! She did this about 5 times! So that was a huge leap (literally) for us and our quest to have Raegan love the water!

Here are a couple shots Hannah took with her camera phone...

Memorial Day Weekend

Hello. I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day Weekend. We did. But first let me show you Hudson's 2 Month pictures. Last week he turned 8 weeks old. Below are shots of him with his little bear and pillow. He has already grown a lot! He is in the 97% on weight for his age!

On Friday night we hosted a little cookout at our house. Granddad, Mimi, Uncle James, Aunt Kelly, Kerry, deAnna, Violet & Max all came. We had a good time hanging out. The kids had fun running around and playing ring-around-the-rosie. The adults had fun playing Trivial Pursuit (my team lost... sorry not my strong suit).

----------On Saturday we drove to the Lake. We had a lot of fun and relaxed. Between my camera and Nana's camera, I had a ton of pictures to go through. I narrowed it down pretty good... but there are still a ton of pics. I just have to go ahead and post with a lot of pictures.
----------The last time we went to the Lake Raegan didn't want to ride the boat... but this time she really liked it. And she got into the water - even though it was freezing! She liked the water too!
----------For the slideshow, let me first setup some of what you'll see. Nana got a new boat - a paddle boat. It is really fun and good exercise. Papa and Raegan really seem to get along. I think because Raegan can control Papa. The dress Raegan is wearing that is pink & green was made by Nana.
----------And a couple pictures that definitely need explanation are of Raegan putting playdough down her shirt. We're not sure where she got the idea but on her own she decided to put balls of playdough into her shirt. She just said she was filling-up her pocket. It was really funny.
----------Anyway... here is a slideshow of pictures taken from Nana's camera (not necessarily taken by her):

And here are pictures taken from my camera:

Hope that wasn't too many pictures... and that you didn't bail before getting through them all!
insert from Hannah: Last but not least:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNIFER!!!! We love you!

New Friends, more B'day Parties & the Zoo...

Hello all! The weeks fly by! Everything is going well for us. Hudson keeps getting bigger and bigger. He seems like a 4 month old! But he is only 8 weeks! Raegan gets smarter and smarter every day.

On Friday, Raegan and Hudson made some new friends. And so did Hannah. Hannah's sister-n-law, Kelly's, sister-n-law, DeAnna brought her two kids to our house for a play date. So Raegan got a new friend, Violet - who was born right after Raegan. And Hudson got a new friend, Max - who was born right before Hudson. I was at work, but Hannah said they had fun and that Raegan and Violet played well together.

Then on Saturday, we went to a 2yr B'day party for Mateo (the son of Rita & Gerardo Barillas from our small group). Raegan had fun playing with Mateo, Ally & Diego.

Something else we did on Friday night was... we went down to the playground to play. Friday was the day our neighborhood pool opened which is right next to the playground. There were some kids playing in the pool and Raegan just kept staring. Finally she said "get in pool". We walked her by the pool and she wanted to get her feet in. So wanting to seize the moment (since she was scared of the pool last year), I ran to the house and got my swim suit on and got her swim diaper. And we played in the pool! Raegan still didn't like floating but she loved splashing around by the steps.
Here is a slideshow of random shots from this past week.

Finally, today, Hannah took both kids to the zoo. Along with 4 other girls from the neighborhood and their kids. All total there were four 2 year olds, an almost 1 year old, and four kids under 8 weeks old. So though they had fun, I think they had their hands full!

Have a good week!

A Mid-Week Treat

Hudson has been very smiley this week, and he has started cooing, too! Tony takes almost all the pictures in our family, so I thought I'd make a contribution. The background is a blanket that Mimi made for him (my mom).

Happy Mother's Day (a day late)!

Hi all! Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there!

I'm really lucky... I have grown-up with a great Mom and she is still great! And turns out she is a great Nana too! Also... I married a great Mom! Hannah has always been really good at everything she does... and the tradition carries on! I am so proud to say she is the mother of my two children! Hannah is a great Mommy (& great wife)! Raegan & Hudson are very fortunate to have such a good Mommy and also a wonderful Nana & Mimi!

On Mother's Day Raegan & Hudson gave Hannah a Mother's Day gift and we all went to church and ate lunch out together afterward. Below are a couple of the silly shots that I tried to get of Raegan & Hudson together for the gift (Hudson is still working on changing his facial expressions but his sister has it down)...

On Saturday afternoon, we went over to the Cohen's house for a cookout and to let the kids play. It was fun for the adults and the kids. Raegan and Drew played in the sandbox, then the water table until it rained and then they dried-off and played Ring Around the Rosie. I think they had a really good time. All was good until we realized they were being a little too quite after dinner. Then Brian found that they were eating crayons! He is certain they fully ate a few. We're hoping they just chewed on some. So that kind of brought the evening to an end. The kids seem OK after their crayon ingestion. Below is a slideshow of their fun before the crayons...

Something else that happened this week that is interesting is that Hannah's FaceBook account got disabled. That's interesting because Hannah has become a pretty heavy FaceBook user and also because we think the reason is because of her name. Hannah always gets people who are amazed at her name. They ask if she knows that it's like Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus). Hannah gets that all the time. Well... it seems that FaceBook decided that Hannah Miley was a made-up name and so they disabled her account to protect Miley Cyrus (we assume). Anyway... Hannah has contacted FaceBook and we're waiting to hear back.

Hudson slept almost 6 hours the other night but that was just a one time thing. We're all doing well. Hudson seems so big! Raegan's vocabulary is getting huge. She is almost having real conversations with us! Hannah is feeling good and is enjoying her maternity leave... but she says the days fly by!

I hope you have a good week!

...another slideshow...

Since I'm pretty tired and I'm feeling lazy, I just uploaded photos from this past week and put them in a slideshow. But first I'll explain what you're seeing.

Hannah and her sister Jennifer, took Raegan and Hudson to the zoo this past week. To protect the innocent, I'm only adding a few shots from that trip.

Then on Saturday we went down to Mimi and Granddad's house. We ate, played games, tried to make a bubble gun work, gave Mimi some Mother's Day gifts (she'll be at the Beach this week) and hung out.

On Sunday, we made our first trip to church with both kids. All went well. Hudson slept the whole time. Hannah had a lunch with her girl friends. And I got to go on a bike ride.

I'm still loving my van. Hannah had her 6-week doctor visit last week and she is healthy. Hudson is still mostly on a 3hr cycle but occasionally sleeps 4 hours. Raegan is very hyper and active with us but seems to be shy around other people lately.

Now you're up-to-speed on what's happening with us... I hope all is well with you!

Have a good week!
