I thought I would make an entry that would show some of what Raegan does during the day while we're not around. I spent about a week just snagging random shots. Some of these also came from her teachers.
She just recently got promoted up to a Toddler room from an Infant room.
She has her own locker! (that's actually not hers in the picture... she is stealing from someone else's locker... I'll work on that as she gets older)
Her great teachers read books to her. (That's Ms. Vickie in the picture)
She eats meals at little tables and chairs as if she is a grown-up! (Where's the highchair! I guess she is growing up) Actually when I get there in the mornings, the first thing we do is go to the little sink and Raegan washes her hands. She loves getting the soap and turning on the water and even drying her hands and throwing away the towel. Then she gives me a hug goodbye and walks over and sits herself down at an open seat at the breakfast table. It all seems so grown-up!
She has lots of friends to socialize with. (I'm not sure why she's shooting that look to the boy next to her... but I'm sure he deserves it!)
They have lots of neat toys to play with. This is a chest full of soft items like bags and dolls. She likes to dig through that.
They have a really cool playground. You can see in the picture below how it puts a smile on her face!
They also do educational things like help them with art projects and teach them about scensory type things. (I wonder how many fruit loops she ate compared to how many made it to the paper)
They even have a music lady come in once a week and teach them about sounds and lets them play with different type instruments. On this day, they were playing with wooden sticks. (I don't know how those teachers can get so many kids to pay attention at once)
Though she loves it in the new Toddler world... her old classroom is right through a low glass window in her new room. You can see her sometimes peeking over to see what is going on with her old classmates and teachers. Growing up can be hard and change can hurt sometimes but ultimately it is for the best and I think Raegan has adjusted really well.
Check out the slideshow below to see a really neat thing they get to do in the summer. It's called "WaterPlay" and water fountains come-up all over the ground and the kids all get to play in the water for an hour or so. (Raegan really likes to drink the water)
OK... one more thing... if you want to see a professional (and cute) video of where Raegan spends her days... click this link: http://www.radiatefilms.com/JCCCVideoFINAL.mov (it takes 2 minutes to start-up. Literally a minute... so be patient. It will come-up in this same browser window)
